| MUST Ministries and The Gobble Jog |
Last year's Gobble Jog had nearly 2,300 participants and raised more
than $75,000 for MUST Ministries. The funds from last year’s race
alone will afford food and school supplies for one child for one
year, job counseling for all emergency shelter guests for one year, emergency
shelter for 12 different families for one month each, transition assistance
for 5 families moving from shelter to permanent housing, and toys for 3,500
children at Christmas time. We are thrilled that this year's event is expected
to draw an exciting 3,000 participants and raise more than $100,000!
MUST is a faith-based, non-profit agency that for 35 years has served the poor, hungry, lonely, and homeless in our county and surrounding areas. While the race is taking place in and around the Marietta Square, our volunteer network will be preparing a Thanksgiving buffet to serve more than 2,400 homeless and needy citizens at the MUST Community Kitchen in Marietta.
