What are the registration fees?

How do I know if I am registered?
If you register online you will receive a confirmation email.  If you registered by mail, your cancelled check is your confirmation.  If you register at the Big Peach Running Company location, you will get a receipt.

When is the last day to register by mail?
Registration forms must be postmarked by Friday, November 15, 2013.

Can I register on race day?
ONLY UNTIMED RUNNERS register on race day, however it is not guaranteed that you will receive a t-shirt.

When is the last day I can pre-register?
Online registration is open through Sunday, November 24.  After that, you can  pre-register right up until the night before at the pre-race packet pickup, which is at First United Methodist Church, 56 Whitlock Road, Marietta GA from 12 – 7 pm.

Where and when can I pick up my race number and t-shirt if I pre-registered?
Wednesday, November 27,  12-7 pm, First United Methodist Church, 56 Whitlock Road, Marietta, GA  30064.

OR
At the Gobble Jog on Thursday morning beginning at 6:30 am.  Packet pick-up and registration is open from 6:30 am to 10:20 am.

How does team registration work?
The team registration deadline is November 24th.  Teams can register by:

Please include a summary cover page with each teammembers name, age, race you are participating in, team captain name, and t-shirt size.  Team registrations must be submitted at the same time if mailed.

Can I pick up packets for everyone on my team?
Yes, as long as there are at least 10 team members and they have pre-registered.  The team captain or another designated team member needs to pick up race packets for everyone on the team at one time.  Team packet pickup is at the team table at the pre-race packet pickup at Marietta First United Methodist Church, 56 Whitlock Avenue Marietta, GA  30064 between 12 pm and 7 pm.

If I am on a team, can I pick up my own packet?
Yes, unless your team captain has arranged to pick up for everyone on the team.  If you’re not sure, please ask your team captain.

Can I pick up someone else’s race number and t-shirt?
Yes, race numbers and t-shirts are under the person’s last name.

If I pick up my packet on Wednesday at the pre-race packet pickup, do I need to do anything on Thursday?
No, just show up and run!  But DON’T FORGET your number!

If I registered at Big Peach Running, where and when do I pick up my race packet?
When you register at Big Peach, you will get your race number there.  You can pick up your t-shirt at the t-shirt table on race day.

What time do the events start?
6:30 am – Packet pickup and registration
7:30 am – 10K (timed)
8:45am – 1K Fun Run/Walk
9:00 am – 5K (timed)
9:30 am – 5K (untimed)
10:30 am – Tot Trot

Does the 5K Timed and 5K Untimed start at the same time?
No, the 5K timed starts at 9 am and the 5K untimed starts at 9:30 am.

If I’m running the timed race but want to run with someone who is untimed can we start together?
Yes, you will need to start at the 5K untimed start time so the untimed runner does not slow the pace of all other timed runners.  The untimed 5K race begins at 9:30 am.

To whom do I make the check?
Please make checks payable to MUST Ministries.

What time do I arrive on race day?
If you pick up your packet the night before you  can arrive 15 minutes before the start of your race (remember roads will be closed) but if you are registering for a race the day of, you will need to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race if you wish to participate.

What is the policy on refunds or registration fees?
No refunds or returns are issued for registration fees.

Will the race be cancelled if the weather is bad?
No.  This is a rain or shine event.

Where can I park?
You will be able to park for free at any of the city parking garages or parking lots near the square, but you should be aware of the road closures.  The roads that go around the Square (North Park, West Park, East Park and South Park) will be closed all morning, in addition to the blocks of Powder Springs Street and Whitlock Avenue closest to the square.  See map below:

The roads on the race route will close at 7:30am.  The map of the route is HERE  You’ll see that the route crosses North Marietta Parkway (120 Loop) in two places, so you won’t be able to cross there when runners are on the route.

Are there water stations along the course?
Yes, there are 2 water stations on the 5k/10k route and 1 on the 1k route.

How do I volunteer for the race?
Fill out our Volunteer Form.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes.  For safety reasons, operators and occupants of strollers and baby joggers must line up behind the runners.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes.  For safety reasons, you and your pet must line up behind the runners.

Are there any special provisions for wheelchair participants?
Wheelchair participants are welcome.  Please indicate on your application if you need special assistance or go to the information booth on site for additional assistance.

Are results announced after the race?
Top overall finishers for each division will be announced at the Awards Ceremony after each race.  Announcements will begin after 9:30 am.

Where can I check my results?
Race results will be available on our Race Results Page as well as on active.com

How do I obtain my qualifying results?
Your qualifying results will be posted on our race results page or on active.com.

What if I never received a t-shirt from last year?
Please e-mail creeve@mustministries.org

What time will the roads close?
7:00 am

Where do race proceeds go?
MUST Ministries is a faith-based organization that, since 1971, has been dedicated to providing services to feed, clothe, and assist people living in poverty.  MUST offers a range of services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, meals, groceries, clothing, job readiness, and placement, financial assistance, children’s programs, community support groups and access to free healthcare.

What if I don’t want to run but want to support MUST?

Does the Gobble Jog qualify for any other races?
The Gobble Jog 10K and 5K are certified as qualifiers for seeding the Peachtree Road Race.
